Some people change the world through fame. Others change it through kindness. Connie was one of those people. To many she was a mother, grandmother, volunteer, co-founder, and friend. To those who knew her best, she was someone who never stopped helping others and never stopped believing in people. Throughout her life, Connie dedicated herself to serving her community and supporting children and families. Her involvement with the Foster Grandparents Program allowed her to touch countless lives, offering encouragement, guidance, and compassion to those who needed it most. Connie was also a proud part of 13 Screams from the beginning. Whether helping behind the scenes, supporting events, volunteering her time, or simply being there when she was needed most, she helped shape the organization into what it is today. Those who worked alongside her remember her willingness to lend a hand, her sense of humor, and her ability to make people feel welcome. Her influence extended far beyond 13 Screams. She believed in helping others, supporting her community, and making a positive difference whenever possible. Although Connie passed away on December 21, 2017, her legacy continues through the stories shared by those who knew her, the memories she helped create, and the lives she touched along the way. Today, her memory continues through Connie's Fund, The Scream Team, and the values she worked so hard to pass on to others. Some people leave behind monuments. Others leave behind something far more valuable.A life well lived. A legacy of kindness. And a reminder that even the smallest acts of compassion can change someone's world.
